Top 10 Most Expensive Cars in the UK in 2022

It can be hard to keep up with the latest trends in cars, especially when it comes to some of the top-of-the-line luxury models. If you’re trying to figure out what the most expensive car on the market will be this year or next, don’t worry! We’ve compiled a list of the top 10 most expensive cars in the UK in 2022, based on current exchange rates and projected future trends. Some of these may surprise you, but then again others will make total sense!

1) Bugatti Chiron

The Chiron is not only a potent supercar but also one of Bugatti’s greenest cars to date, thanks to its hybrid setup. Not only is it fast, but it’s quick off-the-line too. 0–62mph comes up in 2.4 seconds with a top speed of 267mph; yes, you read that right – 267mph. It is worth £847,500
This Bugatti masterpiece was released at Geneva Motor Show 2016 and was presented at $2,400,000 USD because of their limited production run at 500 units. This car has achieved 4 World Records so far and currently holds the title for fastest production car in the world (Source: MOTOR1). The French manufacturer expects to sell most of them to customers from Middle East & China and the US will follow in second place.

2) LaFerrari

LaFerrari is designed to be a more user-friendly supercar, combining hypercar performance with a practical everyday sports car. Thanks to its hybrid drivetrain, it can accelerate from 0-60mph in under 3 seconds, before topping out at 217mph. The price? Well, if you’re lucky enough to buy one (and we mean lucky) you’ll have to fork out a cool £1 million ($1.35 million).

3) Lykan HyperSport

The Lykan HyperSport is one of those cars that looks like it fell out of a movie about a dystopian future. Its headlights and grille have been shaped to look like eyes, there are all kinds of jewelry embedded into its lights, and it can go from 0-60 mph in less than 2.5 seconds. More importantly, you can’t actually buy one: Every HyperSport ever made was sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

4) McLaren P1

McLaren isn’t just a pioneer of high-end luxury cars; it’s an innovator. For example, when McLaren released its original P1 model back in 2013, it was one of only two hybrid supercars available for purchase. Within a few years, more than 100 other companies had followed suit. The McLaren P1 model is still unique today as one of the very few cars that combine both electric and gas power sources. We can expect to see similar advancements from McLaren over the next five years.

5) Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita

The Trevita is Koenigsegg’s bespoke, diamond-dust sparkle coating made of carbon nanotubes. The Swedish hypercar also comes with a 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 good for 1,004 horsepower (hence its name) and can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) in 2.9 seconds. This particular model was designed by Christian Von Koenigsegg himself and features a unique interior created by famed French designer François-Xavier Tournaire. It has an estimated price tag of $4 million.

6) Lamborghini Veneno

Expected to cost around £3.5 million, it’s not a surprise that people are willing to pay top dollar for a rare Lamborghini. Designed for speed and agility, its sleek body is capable of traveling from 0-60 mph (96 kph) in 2.8 seconds, making it one of Lamborghini’s fastest cars to date. It also has an impressive top speed of 221 mph (356 kph). With a powerful 6.5-liter V12 engine, carbon fiber chassis and active aerodynamics system, you can expect some serious performance from your Veneno. It’s also expected to be a limited edition with only nine being produced worldwide.

7) W Motors Lykan Hypersport

$3.4 Million The W Motors Lykan Hypersport is perhaps one of the most well-known supercars in the world. Developed by Lebanese automotive company W Motors, it is featured as a drivable car in Forza Motorsport 5 and has been said to be one of the Top Ten Fastest Production Cars In The World. It was recently estimated to cost £1 million, making it also one of the most expensive cars available to buy from showrooms today.

8) Aston Martin Valkyrie

The Aston Martin Valkyrie is a track-focused hypercar produced by British manufacturer Aston Martin and Red Bull Racing, as part of a collaboration between both companies. It’s being produced to celebrate Red Bull Racing’s 20th anniversary. Only 150 examples will be built, with each costing $3.2 million (£2.5 million). Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine with hybrid assistance that produces 1,130 horsepower (847 kilowatts) and 900 pound-feet (1,200 Newton-meters). We don’t know much about its handling capabilities yet but it should be pretty impressive considering it has an active aerodynamic system that adjusts front downforce based on driving conditions.

9) Ferrari FXX K Evo

The Ferrari FXX K Evo is a variation of one of Maranello’s greatest supercars. Unlike other versions, though, Ferrari says there are no plans to produce any customer versions of its latest. Why? Because it’s an even more extreme version of what was already an extreme vehicle. Production numbers were limited to 30 units worldwide, and all have been sold—but that doesn’t mean you can’t lust after them with your eyes on YouTube.

10) Mercedes-AMG Project One

Mercedes-AMG Project One comes with a hybrid engine. It is capable of reaching speeds of more than 217 mph (350 km/h). It will come with a V6 petrol engine and four electric motors. The car can go from 0 to 60 mph (0–100 km/h) in under three seconds. Its top speed has not been announced yet but it is expected to be around 220 mph (354 km/h). This car has cost almost £2 million to make!
