The sedan class is the most populated class in Pakistan and there are several carmakers who manufacture sedans here in the country and some cars have been imported as well. There are different types of sedans here in Pakistan and there are luxury sedans, sports sedans, family sedans, budget sedans, and many more. Sedan cars are very popular with middle-class Pakistani people because they have roomy interiors, and storage space and they are equipped with powerful engines to offer good performance as well.
Honda City
A top-notch car, it drives like a dream. It’s definitely on our list of cheap sedans under 1.5 million rupees. Honda City gives you features such as power windows with one-touch for all, and rear AC vents for all passengers, including drivers, it comes with a tilt steering wheel to give you comfort while driving. Overall Honda City is one of our favorite sedan cars for being one of the best in class and also giving you lots of features included at an affordable price tag.
Honda Civic
The Civic has been a mainstay on rental car lots since its debut. This family-friendly sedan comes with all of Honda’s safety features, including advanced airbags, traction control, anti-lock brakes and more. While it doesn’t have as much horsepower as some other sedans on our list, it still makes for a fast ride around town. If you’re looking for something dependable that also gets great gas mileage, we recommend giving it a test drive. With a sticker price of $19,600 (without taxes), you can pick up your own Civic at dealerships across Canada.
Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla, one of Japan’s most successful vehicles, is marketed throughout Asia and Europe, with North American sales beginning in 1968. The Corolla is a front-wheel-drive compact car available as a sedan or wagon, with engines up to 140 horsepower. The Corolla has been manufactured since 1966, making it one of Toyota’s longest-running nameplates. It comes standard with air conditioning, power windows and door locks, cruise control, a tilt steering wheel, and an AM/FM radio. Safety features include driver and passenger-side airbags and anti-lock brakes (ABS). The base model costs $16k while a fully loaded model will set you back $25k.
Suzuki Ciaz
There is nothing that can beat a Suzuki Ciaz when it comes to designing a great family car for you. It is spacious, has good legroom, a large interior as well as trunk space. The best part about owning a Suzuki Ciaz would be its fuel efficiency. The price of the Ciaz is approximately 10-12 lac only which makes it one of the best sedans available at affordable prices. Its all-new design with a sporty look attracts many people towards it. You can also opt for an automatic version if you want more convenience while driving.
Suzuki Liana
The Suzuki Liana is a great option for those looking for a small car with affordable fuel consumption. It comes loaded with safety features such as airbags, stability control, and anti-lock brakes (ABS). The Liana features five doors to make it easier to get passengers into the backseat. It also has many storage options including door pockets, glove compartments, a center console, and map pockets inside. This model is available in four trims: GX, GLX, SX4 SZ5, and SX4 SZ6. All of these trims come standard with alloy wheels, keyless entry/ignition/alarm system, power windows/mirrors/locks, cruise control, CD player w/ aux input jack & steering wheel controls & more!
Suzuki Baleno
Available in many variants (1.2, 1.3, and 1.6), Baleno is powered by a 1300cc displacement engine mated to either an automatic or manual transmission. It also comes with accessories like push-button start, paddle shifters, touchscreen infotainment system, dual airbags, ABS with EBD as well as new safety features such as anti-skid control, and brake assist system, and electronic brakeforce distribution.
Nissan Sunny
The Nissan Sunny is one of those vehicles that looks like it’s just about survived its share of high-speed car chases. It has a look that’s somewhere between total badass and loser from The Fast & The Furious, but if you can get past how bizarre it looks on paper, there’s actually a lot to like. In terms of performance, acceleration isn’t quite as good as some other sedans on our list (0–100 km/h comes up in around 10 seconds), but the handling is superb for a vehicle with such an affordable price tag. And with 6 airbags and 4-star safety ratings across all models, it offers plenty of bang for your buck when it comes to safety features too.
Mitsubishi Lancer
The Mitsubishi Lancer is one of that cars that has a good engine and comfortable seats. It has a good ground clearance that provides stability in off-road conditions. The maintenance cost is also relatively low. It’s certainly a value-for-money option under a 7 lac budget. If you are looking for something more economical then Lancer GLX could be your best bet as it’s got a fuel economy of 15 km/l on highways. However, if you have a slightly higher budget then there are some better options available like Honda City or Toyota Corolla Altis. But still, if you want to go with Lancer then go for the 1.5L model as the 2L version is not worth buying due to its poor performance and mileage.
Changan Alsvin
The Alsvin is part of China’s Changan Automobile Company—one of the biggest car manufacturers in China. The company makes a range of cheap sedans, hatchbacks, SUVs, pickup trucks, etc. that are exported to markets around Europe and Asia but don’t make it all over to North America (yet). The Alsvin comes with great fuel economy—its 1.5-liter engine averages around 40 miles per gallon on highway trips.
Proton Saga
The Proton Saga is a 1.3-liter 4-door saloon car by the Malaysian automobile manufacturer, Proton. It is based on Proton’s last-generation 993 platform, which is also used for other models such as Cendrol, Persona, and Prevé. The Saga was designed to be affordable family transportation but its low pricing made it one of Malaysia’s best selling vehicles ever with over 300,000 units sold in under 10 years from 1998 to 2008.
