Lionel Messi Sells Some of His Cars

One of the best players in soccer, Lionel Messi from Barcelona, recently sold three luxury cars from his car collection. The total amount he collected from these auctions reached almost 1 million dollars. The name of the cars that were sold is Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster, Audi R8 V10 Coupe, and Ferrari 458 Spider. They have been bought by an unknown buyer. One of the only pictures that have been published so far shows the cars being packed into a container to be shipped somewhere else in Europe.

How much are his cars worth?

Now that Lionel Messi has retired from international football, he is free to concentrate on other things – like his collection of cars. It’s estimated that his collection is worth in excess of $1 million. According to experts, there are very few complete collections of football memorabilia anywhere near as valuable. Here’s a look at some items from Lionel Messi’s extensive car collection Today we have prepared for you one of our favorite lists - Top 10 Most Expensive Footballers Cars In The World 2019. A lot of football players have a huge passion for cars and even if they have big money for it, they spend their fortune buying some special vehicles with amazing speed and design!

Ford GT

The Ford GT was launched in 2005 as a supercar model produced by car manufacturer Ford, who owns it. It went on sale in late 2016 at an MSRP of $495,000 USD ($299,995 for the North American market) and can reach speeds over 200mph. It is considered a halo vehicle for Ford, whose vehicles are generally not associated with high performance or luxury. It is powered by a 3.5 liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. A new version will be released in 2022.

The Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

For a cool $4.5 million, you can drive one of these gorgeous Ferrari F12 Berlinetta vehicles whenever you want. The car has a top speed of 196 miles per hour and goes from 0 to 60 in 3.1 seconds; if you’re interested in buying it, now’s your chance! According to club officials, Messi drove it only twice on a short track near his home and then parked it for good. Now he wants to sell it because he thinks that driving such an expensive vehicle is dangerous. He doesn’t have much interest in cars anyway—he just likes playing soccer.

The Bugatti Veyron

This $1.7 million supercar is one of Lionel Messi’s most valuable cars, and definitely his most expensive. The vehicle can go from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds, which is incredibly impressive—especially for a car that’s been around since 2005! This also means it boasts a top speed of 268 mph (it actually broke a record when it was first released), making it perhaps one of Lionel Messi’s more exciting purchases.

All three cars have been sold

A Toyota FJ Cruiser (2010), a Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition (2013), and a Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon. The proceeds will be given to charity, as has become his custom. I decided to sell my cars because I want my children to learn that everything can be earned with work, he said in a statement released by FC Barcelona. It is better that they learn it now than when they are older. It was not immediately clear how much Messi had raised from the sales or what charities would benefit from them.

We estimate that he made over $5.5 million from these three sales

$1.5 million from his Bugatti Veyron; $1.4 million from his Audi R8; and $2.4 million from his Ford GT. That’s a total of $6.3 million in one day or about 8% of what he made in 2017 ($84 million). Not bad for a single day’s work! We don’t know how much he spent on these cars, but we estimate that it was probably at least $10 million more than he got back by selling them. We think it makes sense that Messi is finally unloading some of his cars—he has too many to drive around, they are expensive to maintain, and they take up space in his garage.

Let’s take a look at his other cars

A Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale, a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, a Ferrari 488 GTB. He also has a Mercedes AMG C63. And now we know how he earned his nickname The Flea. Not only does he have these awesome cars, but if you’re not interested in buying one of his already pristine vehicles, you can always put them on your shelf and admire them instead! For $2 million USD, you can own some of Lionel Messi’s most prized possessions. I guess it makes sense that he would sell off some of his collection; after all, what else is a guy like him going to do with 5 supercars?
